Hidden in a small valley in a historic New Mexico ghost town is solitude.

Spread over five acres and backed onto hundreds of acres of open desert are several of the last remaining 150-year-old adobe homes and buildings of a town time long forgot. Serving as a stagecoach stop, saloon, general store, mercantile, post office, hotel, and residences, these historic adobe dwellings have evolved into living and working spaces for artists, writers and creatives who seek to escape the distractions of everyday life and to focus on themselves and their craft.

“To be left alone is the most precious thing one can ask of the modern world. “

-Anthony Burgess

Historic Accommodations

You will be hosted in fully restored historic adobe buildings, where you will find yourself immersed in an authentic New Mexican habitat, while enjoying all the comfort of a fully furnished, artistically remodeled modern home.
Your host, Josh Bond, has been hosting tourists, travelers and creatives for decades, and lives on premisses. You will have all the space and quietness you need, while having someone nearby to answer to your needs, tell you stories about the rich past of the area, and help you to make the most out of your stay.

Studios and Art Spaces

Several studios and spaces are available, featuring different settings, rooms sizes and atmospheres. Ancient and modern are in constant dialogue on the property, and you will be able to wander and pick up a space that fits your needs and your creativity.
Chairs, desks, tables and lightning are provided. Many other pieces of equipment and tools are available on demand.
As you work, you will see the light change through the day all the way to the golden hours of the evening, you will hear the whisper of the wind through the buildings and smell the fragrance of the desert after the summer’s rains. And at night, the sky will turn into an otherworldly tapestry of stars.

“To be creative you must create a space for yourself where you can be undisturbed… separate from everyday concerns.”

– John Cleese
